Spyder Yarley-Jones was born in the darkest swamps of Edmonton's rainforest. Raised in an artistic family, his hopes of being a deck hand on a submarine were short lived and frowned upon by the family dog. Spyder is an Edmonton-based multi-disciplined visual artist. He has illustrated award-winning graphic novel "Jamie's Got A Gun", written by local author Gail Sidonie Sobat, illustrated all the images that were animated for Roxy Theatre's successful production of the musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". Spyder has also taught many artist in residencies in the Edmonton public and catholic school system, and has taught at his beloved youthwrite "A camp for kids who love to Write... Just about anything!" for its full 30 years.
